At the beginning of the season, a daily journal notebook needs to be created for each excavation area in the primary Evernote account. These are named with the excavation area ID, the year, and the first name of the excavation area supervisor (e.g., “97.541_2022_Catherine”). As above, it is essential that the journal notebooks are created in the primary account, rather than in any another account, so that the project maintains archival control over notebooks and can intercede in case of accidental deletions or other problems. Once notebooks are created in the project’s primary account, they can be shared with the project’s secondary account for use on tablets in the field and lab.
